The Problem with Physical Business Cards

Printed business cards have three fundamental problems. First, they become outdated the moment a phone number, email, or job title changes. Second, they require reprinting — at cost, with delay — every time information changes. Third, they can't be tracked: there's no way to know if a card was received, opened, or shared. Sigma Cards was built to solve all three problems simultaneously.

How Sigma Cards Works

Each Sigma Card contains an embedded NFC chip. When tapped against any modern smartphone (iOS or Android, no app required), the chip transmits a URL that opens the card holder's complete digital profile in the recipient's browser. The profile includes contact details, links, portfolio, social profiles — and can be updated instantly through the Sigma Cards dashboard at any time, with no need to reprint or redistribute any physical card.

Three-Phase Development Roadmap

Phase 1 — Weeks 1–8

Core MVP

NFC chip provisioning, digital profile creation and editing, tap-to-share flow. The minimum functionality needed to prove the concept with early adopters and begin generating genuine user feedback.
